Fanningstown Castle is available for self-catering generally in weekly increments from Saturday to Saturday.
If a period of time is required outside those dates please do not hesitate to contact us by phone/or email, and we will try our very best to accommodate you. Prices for out of season will depend on the duration and time of year, therefore we will quote at the time of enquiry.
Rates are inclusive of reasonable use of electricity, towels & bed linen, logs for fire, WIFI and generous welcome pack of groceries to help you get settled in. Oil fired central heating is metered at cost based on usage. A refundable damage deposit of €250 is required on arrival & for wedding bookings a refundable damage deposit of €500 is required on arrival. Housekeeping, laundry, extra towels can be arranged at an extra fee. If you would like to have a chef prepare a special meal during your stay we can send you contact details.
Rates are quoted for family and friends getting together for leisure purposes, if you plan to get married or celebrate a special occasion during your stay please advise at time of booking as additional charges may apply. We will send you a listing of our preferred suppliers for weddings & events upon request. For wedding & all special occasions please email directly with your requirements or send your details using our booking enquiry form.
Maximum sleeping capacity is 10 guests plus 2 infants.
Smoking is not permitted within Fanningstown Castle, other than outside the castle in the grounds.
If you are thinking of bringing your pet animal please enquire directly before confirming your booking.
Guests are asked to arrive at or after 4pm on the Saturday and leave at or before 10am on the Saturday of departure. It is essential that these times are adhered to in order that the house be cleaned thoroughly. We do not like any form of regimentation but in this case we have to ask all our guests for their cooperation so that the cleaning does not cause problems for guests either arriving or departing.

50% of the total booking with your reservation, the balance is due 6 weeks prior to arrival.

All payments should be protected by your travel insurance. We know that occasionally something may happen so that you have to cancel your booking with us. There is a non refundable cancellation fee of €500 payable in the event that you cancel your reservation to cover administration & the cost of re-letting. We will refund less the cancellation charge & if relevant commission paid to agents if we secure a booking for the dates. Securing a booking for dates also depends on having sufficient time to fill the available space. If you cancel within 6 weeks of arrival date we retain the total rental paid unless we re-let. We recommend you take out insurance to fully insure against this eventuality.
