Felicitas and Florian Zeitler from Germany consider Ireland as one of the most beautiful places on earth having experienced ‘great green landscapes, the most friendly people, good music and of course “good craic”’ on their various trips. When they decided to get married, they wanted a small and cosy wedding with just their parents and siblings and to showcase their most loved country to their family on their very special day.
When they were searching for the perfect location they came to Ireland and just drove around to view venues and to search for good locations. On the very last day they found Fanningstown Castle on the internet and immediately contacted Mary. Unfortunately Felicitas had to leave, so Florian visited the castle on his own, and it just blew his mind. From his first step into the castle he was sure that this was the place he wanted to get married.

‘Mary and Dave were absolutely fantastic in helping us create our special day. Mary always replied immediately to our e-mails and from the beginning on she helped us in many small ways, e.g. finding a cook (Anne was gorgeous!), or a florist. On our wedding day, it was raining shortly before the ceremony and as it stopped raining, Dave came up with a leaf blower and dried the whole garden for us. There are hundreds of things they did for us and we are still grateful that they helped so much making our day absolutely perfect.’

Florian says ‘ The moment when Felicitas stepped out of the door and I first saw her in her wedding dress in front of the castle. That was the perfect moment.’
Felicitas says ‘ I was getting ready in the tower, then dressing up in the library and after that I stepped out of the castle, seeing my very future husband in the garden.
