Fanningstown Castle is an approved venue for Civil Wedding Ceremonies in Ireland therefore allowing you to have a legally binding wedding in our unique gothic style castle. Your special ceremony can be hosted in our historic library, family friendly living room or held in the open air in our garden.
We will set the scene for your ceremony, whether it is inside or outside and can provide garden chairs with covers if required and a table for the celebrant. We will set up with Chivari chairs for an indoor ceremony and will decorate the reception rooms with vases of fresh flowers to complement your bouquet.
We can recommend celebrants we have had the pleasure of working with, who will conduct either a legal or blessing ceremony depending on your preference.
For couples who would like to have a religious ceremony, Fanningstown Castle is within a stone’s throw of Holy Trinity Abbey (Roman Catholic), St Nicholas Church of Ireland (Episcopal Church) & Adare Methodist Church.
If it is simply you and your loved one staying with us we will be happy to act as witnesses during your elopement and if you are joined by a handful of your closest family and friends you will have the castle all to yourself for a cosy intimate experience in luxurious surroundings.
Depending on your style of wedding, we will be able to introduce you to our preferred local suppliers, many of whom we have been dealing with for several years. We will help you source your celebrant, photographer, florist, and musicians for your ceremony and anything else you may need for a drinks reception and/or wedding meal.
Our elegant dining room is the perfect setting for a wedding banquet and we can recommend chefs to best suit your dietary requirements.
Our dining room setting includes table settings with linens, china, cutlery, cut glass, floral decorations and atmospheric candle light. We also provide a separate table setting for your wedding cake to include a glass cake stand and cutting knife.
You may prefer to have a drinks reception with canapes and then head into one of the superb local restaurants or enjoy relaxed dining in the local friendly pubs for dinner. There is a great selection of local restaurants offering good take home food which you can enjoy within the castle walls if you like to dine in.
We can recommend local suppliers for wedding cars and taxis, wedding cakes, hairdresser and make-up artists.
